The company changed its mode of services from 4mm and 4.5mm thick membrane to joint less liquid plastic in 2016. This change became necessary due to incessant complaints by clients as regarding water penetration to concrete slabs/substrates through vertical and horizontal overlapping. This usually occurred after a certain period of time due to thermal movement. Serotny Global carried out a massive research on way to solving this overlapping penetration issue and came up with the joint less liquid plastic which requires pressurized machine mode of application or applied manually with a brush. This form a thick film on a substrate when its dried. it expands and contrast as its elastic in nature. it does not crack or shrink due to thermal movement unlike the membrane that cracks after a certain period. this development increased the annual revenue for SGL in 2017 to 9% and 14% in 2018. The new technology for installation reduced numbers of workers as its been installed with a pressure machine unlike the membrane installation that require several manpower. SGL is still committed in rendering unsurpassed bespoke leak proofing services to its clients across West Africa and beyond. A new technology known as MULTI-FUNCTIONAL SOLVENT SOLUTION (MFSS) has just been introduced. The construction industry has really had several challenges in dealing with waterproofing issues arising from already existing and new structures.
